We are delighted to launch our new kitchen textile collection. The new range of tea towels and aprons feature a mix of fresh designs and favourites from the archive, printed onto crisp white cotton in bold, graphic colours.
The photos below show flashes of inspiration from the very beginning of a design’s evolution from plant to product. Clarissa’s creative journey can begin anywhere- from vines creeping between the mortar of London’s terraced streets to ferns and flora discovered on foreign expeditions with her family, she obsessively photographs it all.

The Seed Heads design is actually a carefully assembled collection of lots of different plant species. Dried poppies from Greece lie beside Scottish ferns and Wiltshire meadow flowers in this romantic collection of seed heads that create a map of Clarissa’s travels.

These pom-pom like stems are the inspiration for the Allium design. Clarissa photographed this collection of Purple Sensation in a friend’s garden in Wiltshire on a much-needed break from the city. The resulting tea towel captures the playful nature of the bloom in a utilitarian gunmetal shade. We think the Allium apron in ocean would make a fabulous gift.

Clarissa came upon this fern while travelling in the Caribbean. The effect of the light shining through the fronds of the foliage has been transposed onto this tea towel in the striking contrast between turquoise and brilliant white.
